Dr Berhanu Gebre MedhinDr Berhanu Gebre Medhin is an Agricultural Economist working for the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). He obtained his PhD degree in agricultural economics in 1998 from Michigan State University, USA. Dr Berhanu's research interest centres on production and natural resource economics, especially on the interface between agricultural production and the natural resource base in crop–livestock mixed systems. He has conducted research on the impact of natural resource conservation technologies on agricultural productivity and farm household income, determinants of adoption of conservation technologies, and policies and institutions for sustainable agricultural development.
